The Lawyers for Freedom Association (ÖHD) Antalya Branch released a report on rights violations in Antalya prisons during the first five months of 2025. The report highlights that prisoners are subjected to additional punishments within prisons and are denied access to their right to health care.
Sadun Vural, a teacher at a boarding high school in Silopi, sexually harassed 6 students on different dates. Although he committed the offence in a chain, he was released from prison one year after the first case and was only suspended by the Directorate of National Education.
