Civan Boltan, a seriously ill prisoner who is bling in one eye, missing an arm and has shrapnel in his brain, is not being released despite the "violation" judgement of the ECHR.

DEM Party denied the claims that another name will replace Sırrı Sureyya Onder in the İmralı delegation. "The meeting with the Minister of Justice will be held by our group deputy chairpersons due to Onder's health problem and Pervin Buldan's hospitalisation," the statement said.
Human rights defender Ahmet Faruk Unsal said Abdullah Öcalan's call was a "new beginning" and added, "Öcalan has presented a perspective that puts the demand for democratisation at the centre. Turkey needs to fulfil this call."
Families whose relatives are imprisoned amphasised that the process can move forward with the physical freedom of all prisoners, especially Abdullah Öcalan.
Kudret Aksu the mother of Suleyman Aksu, who lost his life in the Pirsûs Massacre, stated that they expect concrete steps from the state and said, "I call on every mother who has paid a heavy price, let's embrace this process."
Families who lost their relatives during the conflict process stated that they support Abdullah Öcalan's call and emphasised that the state should take steps for a lasting peace.
