NEWS CENTER - Sending message to the Êzidî (Yazidi) community, Ocalan said: "I have made it my duty to build together the days when you will live freely and proudly maintain your culture."
Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Ocalan sent a message to the Shengal Autonomous Administration and the Êzidî community. Abdullah Ocalan also thanked the Êzidîs for the clothes they sent him and said: "You will never again endure another ferman (edict); this cruelty will not be repeated anywhere."
Message of Ocalan reads:
"To the Shengal administration and the Êzidî community;
I am not an Êzidî, but I have taken your pain and your identity as my own. You will never again endure another ferman (edict); this cruelty will not be repeated anywhere. I will not cease holding those who carrried out the last massacre to account. I will not abondon the search for the abducte women and children. I will fight to the end for their liberation and for justice to be served. I have made it my duty to build together the days when you will live freely and proudly maintain your culture.
You have my deepest respect. I stand for you existence and your rights. I have received the precious gift you sent. I promise that one day I will meet you wearing that garment. May we be reunited in free and strong gatherings."
