NEWS CENTER – A new mass grave was found in on of the neighbourhoods of Shengal. An identity document of a person who has been missing since the 3 August edict was also found in the grave. 

 

According to the news of ROJNEWS, the grave was discovered when citiznes were building a house in the are between Sîba Şêx Xidir and Tilizêr sub-district came across clothes, belongings and human remains while working with a digger. 

 

While the security forces cordoned off the area, it was stated that an identity document belonging to Seydo Ebas Çûko from Sîba Şêx Xidir, who has been missing since 3 August 2014, was also found in the grave. 

 

Relevant institutions are expected to carry out an investigation today. 

 

Families and civil society representatives demanded that the Iraqi government deploy expert teams to excavate the mass graves as soon as possible.
