NEWS CENTER - DEM Party denied the claims that another name will replace Sırrı Sureyya Onder in the İmralı delegation. "The meeting with the Minister of Justice will be held by our group deputy chairpersons due to Onder's health problem and Pervin Buldan's hospitalisation," the statement said. 

 

Peoples' Equality and Democracy (DEM) Party made a statement on the health condition of Sırrı Sureyya Onder, member of the İmralı Delegation, who is being treated in the intensive care unit of Florence Nightingale Hospital. 

 

The statement read: "İmralı Delegation member Sırrı Süreyya Onder's intensive care treatment in hospital continues. Our party continues to wait hopefully in the hospital with all its committees and we believe that our friend Sırrı Süreyya Onder will recover as soon as possible and continue where he left off.

 

While our party and the public shows great sensitivity on this issue, unfortunately, speculative news that are not based on real information are also spread. First, the information that a new name will be included in the DEM Party İmralı Delegation instead of Sırrı Sureyya Onder is not true. Our party has not discussed this issue on its agenda, the first priority of our party is the recovery of our comrade Sırrı Sureyya Onder. 

 

In addition, the meeting with the Minister of Justice will be organised by our Group Deputy Chairpersons due to Sırrı Sureyya Onder's health problem and Pervin Buldan's workload."
