WAN – The body of Fehim Tosun, who was killed on the Iranian border in Elbês neighborhood of Elbak district, has been left at the place where he was shot for three days.

Fehim Tosun, who lived in the Elbês neighborhood on the Iranian border in Elbak (Başkale) district of Wan (Van) and was shot in the head three days ago, has still not been retrieved. For three days, authorities have been waiting for a prosecutor and a demining expert to reach the scene. Meanwhile, villagers and Tosun’s family continue to wait to recover the body.

Villagers stated that they went to the area where the body was located yesterday on horseback along with a bomb disposal expert. However, due to strong winds causing snow to accumulate over the body, the expert was unable to carry out the necessary work, and therefore the body could not be retrieved.
