Kulp Mining and Foreign Trade Inc. continues its mining activities in Hesendîn region in Pasûr (Kulp) district of Amed (Diyarbakır). Despite the cancellation of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) report, the reaction of the residents of the region against the company continues.

 

Residents of the region set up a tent in the region yesterday and started a vigil against the mining activities. Citizens continued their vigil with songs they sang throughout the night.

 

It is learnt that the protest will continue over the weekend.
