İZMİR — An event organized by students at Ege University was reportedly blocked after a confrontation with private security personnel on campus.

 

Students had gathered in the university campus area to hold a picnic. According to reports, tensions escalated after an LGBTQ+ flag was displayed at the gathering, prompting intervention by the university’s private security personnel.

 

Security personnel allegedly assaulted and physically attacked students during the intervention. Students were reportedly forcibly removed from the picnic area by police and security officers.
