DÊRSIM - Speaking about the investigation of Gülistan Doku in front of the courthouse, the family’s lawyer Ali Çimen stated that they also expect a high-ranking public official to be arrested soon.

 

Following new developments in the investigation of Gülistan Doku, a 2nd-year student in the Department of Child Development at Munzur University, who went missing in Dêrsim (Tunceli) on January 5, 2020, the family’s lawyer Ali Çimen made a statement in front of the courthouse.

 

In response to journalists' questions, Ali Çimen said that the number of detainees could increase and added: “The latest assessment I made was 13 + 1. However, as I said, this high-ranking public official also needs to be arrested as soon as possible. We will provide the public with more detailed information once the interrogations in the investigation are completed.”

 

He said: “There is currently a confidentiality order on the file. We define the person in question as a 'senior government official'. Therefore, it would not be appropriate for me to make a detailed assessment about them. However, there is no doubt that they will also be arrested. We expect their arrest shortly.”
