Departure of second group of Afrin IDPs toward their city

NEWS CENTER - The second group of IDPs from Afrin has set off from Qamishlo toward their city, comprising around 200 families.
 
Accroding to Hawar News Agency (ANHA) The second group of Afrin IDPs departed as part of the January 29 agreement signed between the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the Interim Government.
 
The displaced families had gathered since early morning at Yousif Kalo roundabout in the city of Qamishlo, before the convoy headed toward Afrin.
 
According to the Afrin and Shahba Displaced Persons Council, the group includes approximately 200 families, distributed across 80 private transport vehicles, 48 trucks carrying belongings, in addition to 14 buses.
 
The council noted that the returning families originate from Rajo district and the city of Afrin, while the convoy was accompanied by the White Helmets organization.
 
For his part, the Deputy General Commander of the Internal Security Forces in Al-Hasakah Governorate, Mahmoud Khalil, announced the departure of the convoy in a post on the platform “X,” stating that it would head to Afrin via the M4 international highway.
 
It is worth noting that the first group, which included around 400 families, had returned to Afrin on March 9.
