NEWS CENTER – A delegation of Kobanê administration has met with Aleppo Governorship.
A delegation from the Kobanê (Kobani) city of North and East Syria , met with Aleppo Governorship yesterday. The delegation returned after the meeting and spoke to the Hawar News Agency (ANHA)
Delegation member Abdulrahman Aldamar told Hawar News Agency (ANHA) that the people of Kobanê are awaiting the results of the recent discussions held in Aleppo, which focused primarily on the security situation and the crisis facing residents. He noted that growing fears and questions are circulating among locals regarding the possibility of renewed war, amid internal anxiety about the future of stability in the region, despite the positive atmosphere that accompanied the discussions in Aleppo.
He stressed that the language of dialogue and mutual understanding was an important step toward turning the page on the past and opening a new chapter that would ensure the city’s stability and improve the management of its institutions, adding that the return of some residents to their homes constitutes a positive indicator in this context.
The delegation is scheduled to head again in the near future to hold further meetings and discussions with officials, aiming to reach solutions to the existing problems. He expressed hope that the coming days would bring tangible improvement compared to the previous period.
Delegation member Mezkin Khalil Jakar stated that the meeting with the governorate administration was positive, with discussions focusing on the attacks Kobani had been subjected to and the presence of military forces affiliated with the Syrian Interim Government in some villages and rural areas of the city. She stressed the necessity of their withdrawal from those areas, enabling displaced people from Kobani to return safely to their villages and homes.
She added that the city is facing a severe living crisis as a result of the siege, suffering from a lack of basic services. She concluded by emphasizing the importance of preserving unity, avoiding internal conflicts, and steering clear of hostility and war. She noted that the Syrian people in general have been exhausted by war and chaos and today need stability and calm.
She expressed hope that the agreements reached would be implemented soon and smoothly, clause by clause, in a way that serves the people of Syria, enhances stability, and alleviates living crises.
