Kobanê under siege for 17 day: The humanitarian crisis deepens

NEWS CENTER - The siege and resistance in Kobanê has entered its 17th day.

Despite the agreement reached between the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the Interim Government of Damascus, the siege continues on its 17th day in Kobanê, where more than 500,000 people live, including refugees.

After attacks by ISIS-HTS and Turkish-backed paramilitary groups on northern and eastern Syria, electricity, water and internet lines were cut in Kobanê. With no electricity or water for 17 days, the humanitarian crisis in the city is deepening by the day. The humanitarian crisis is also deepening due to the intense migration to the city as a result of attacks by jihadist groups.

Although there are no attacks or clashes, the siege continues in Kobanê, where the defence forces and the people's resistance also continue. While the people of Kobanê continue their vigil to defend the city, the Internal Security Forces and SDF are also ensuring security in the region.
