NEWS CENTER – The agreement between the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and Damascus entered practical implementation today.

The agreement in Syria comes into force today, with security forces affiliated with the Ministry of Interior of the Interim Government scheduled to deploy at designated points within the cities of Hesekê (Hasakah) and Kobanê (Kobani) on February 2. According to Hawar News Agency (ANHA), SDF and Damascus reached a comprehensive ceasefire agreement on January 30, which includes understandings on a phased integration of military and administrative forces between the two sides.

The agreement provides for the withdrawal of military forces from contact lines, the entry of Ministry of Interior security forces into the centers of the cities of Hasakah and Qamishlo, and the launch of a process to integrate security forces in the region. It also stipulates the formation of a military division comprising three brigades from the SDF, in addition to the establishment of a special Kobani brigade within a division affiliated with Aleppo Governorate.

The agreement further includes the integration of the Autonomous Administration’s institutions into Syrian state institutions, with the retention of civilian employees.

It also includes the settlement of the civil and educational rights of the Kurdish people and guarantees the return of displaced persons to their areas.

The agreement aims to unify Syrian territory and achieve full integration in the region by enhancing cooperation among the relevant parties and unifying efforts to rebuild the country.

Yesterday (February 1), a delegation representing the Internal Security Forces in Aleppo Governorate visited the city of Kobani, where it met with the leadership of the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) in the city to discuss the overall security situation in the region, as well as the withdrawal of military forces in preparation for integrating the Internal Security Forces in Kobani under the command of the Internal Security Directorate of Aleppo Governorate. A similar delegation also visited the city of Hasakah in the Jazira region.

Yesterday, the Internal Security Forces in the Jazira Region announced the imposition of a curfew today, Monday, in the city of Hasakah, and on Tuesday in the city of Qamishlo, as part of measures to maintain security, stability, and the safety of residents.

In a statement, the Internal Security Forces stressed the need for citizens to comply with the decision and adhere to the issued instructions, warning that legal measures will be taken against anyone who violates them.
