AMED - Regarding the Peace and Democratic Society Process French philosopher Corine Pelluchon stated, "It is impossible to build lasting peace without a spirit of peace. I wholeheartedly hope that this demanding, multi-stage process will succeed."
French philosopher Corine Pelluchon expressed her support for the call made by Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan on 27 February 2025 and the ongoing Peace and Democratic Society Process. Corine Pelluchon sent a short message to the Mezopotamya Agency (MA) on the subject.
SUPPORT FOR THE PROCESS
Corine Pelluchon's message reads as follows: "Without seeking to lecture others, I would like to express my support for those who spare no effort to build peace between the Kurds and the Turks. These efforts are not only aimed at bringing an end to a tragic situation that has led to the loss of many lives; they also require decision-making processes in which Kurds and their representatives take part. For it is impossible to build lasting peace without a spirit of peace. I wholeheartedly hope that this demanding, multi-stage process will succeed. For it will restore hope to those who, in Turkey and elsewhere, are convinced that although democracies are always fragile, a political order founded on respect for the dignity of every individual is the only viable way to learn how to live together and to avoid the worst—namely terror, destruction, and self-destruction."
