Hundreds of thousands march for Rojava in Sulaymaniyah

NEWS CENTER - Hundreds of thousands of people in Sulaymaniyah (Silêmanî) in the Iraqi Kurdistan held a mass march in solidarity with the people of Rojava.

 
The march, attended by intellectuals, artists, religious figures, women, young people, the elderly and children, ended with slogans of allegiance to Rojava. Throughout the march, YPG, YPJ and Federal Kurdistan Region flags were carried, and the "Kezî (Braid)" statue was brought to the square. The demonstration highlighted national unity, with slogans such as "Gelê Kurd yek e (Kurdish people are one)" and "Bijî berxwedana Rojava (Long live resistance of Rojava)" being chanted.
 
The slogan "Jin, jiyan, azadî (Woman, life, freedom)” echoed continuously throughout the area. The event continued with the singing of national anthems, a theatre performance and a concert. Artists from the four parts of Kurdistan took to the stage to perform their songs. After the events, the march continued in a massive and enthusiastic manner towards Salim Street. The participation of women, children, young people and the elderly from all segments of society was noteworthy.
 
The march ended with national anthems, slogans and calls for unity.
