ANKARA - Co-Chairs of the DEM Party, Tülay Hatimoğulları and Tuncer Bakırhan, stated regarding the agreement in Damascus, "We clearly welcome the agreement reached between the Damascus Administration and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in Syria.”

 

The Co-chairs of the Peoples’ Equality and Democracy (DEM) Party made a statement regarding the agreement between the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and Ahmed al-Sharaa. 

 

The statement said: “We clearly welcome the agreement reached between the Damascus Administration and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in Syria. We extend our sincere thanks to all the countries, institutions, individuals, and peoples whose efforts contributed to making this agreement possible. We also salute the resistance of the people who, from the very first day, stood in support across the world and took to the streets.”

 

The DEM Party affirmed their continued and unwavering solidarity to ensure the success of this process.

 

It concluded: “The will of Rojava is fundamental for us. Our responsibility is to support the decisions they have made. We congratulate their commitment to negotiation and their stance at the negotiationg table. We have consistently emphasized that conflicts can be resolved through negotiation and dialogue, and we maintain that position today”
