ANKARA - The meeting between the DEM Party's İmralı Delegation and Erdogan has ended. After the meeting Sırrı Süreyya Önder said, "It was a very positive meeting. We are much more hopeful."
The meeting between the Peoples' Equality and Democracy (DEM) Party İmralı Delegation members Pervin Buldan and Sırrı Süreyya Önder and AKP Chair and President Recep Tayyip Erdogan at the Presidential Complex following the historic call of Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan ended.
The meeting lasted 1 hour 25 minutes. AKP Deputy Chair Efkan Ala and Head of the Intelligence Organisation Ibrahim Kalin also took part in the meeting.
'WE ARE MUCH MORE HOPEFUL'
After the meeting İmralı delegation member Sırrı Süreyya Önder said, "It was a very positive meeting. We are much more hopeful. Mr President stands in a very important place in this regard. Our aim is to achieve peace."
Pervin Buldan said, "It was a very productive meeting. The process continues well."
DEM Party will make a written statement in following hours.
